Activity: 25.61 The treatment and coating of metals
SITAL Ltd. was founded in December 2002 and became actively engaged in business activities in January 2003. The company was initially focused on coating, paint and varnish trading, both retail and wholesale.
With cooperation in the business plans to maintain freight wagons for Croatian Railway and in collaboration with the professional staff of the manufacturers of coatings, paints and varnishes, we have developed technology for protecting the wagons as required by the Croatian Railway, have become equipped for the implementation of our technology, and are working on corrosion protection.
In late 2006 and early 2007, we completed the initial plan for supplying our enterprise with technological solutions (machinery and other equipment needed for our business) and developed plans to further develop the company in relation to construction.
Since 2009, we have been providing corrosion protection services at our own facilities located at 60 Koritna St. in Dubrava (near Vrbovac), where we have a modern paint shop measuring 16x6x6 with a bridge crane weighing 5 t and a modern shot facility of the same size.
In late 2012, a separate organizational unit for providing corrosion protection was formed and became operational.
Along with the plant in Dubrava, we also have an administrative office in Zagreb, which, in addition to general and administrative activities, is engaged in the wholesale of paint and varnish. We currently have 85 employees and have a tendency to expand.
We are present in the railway, oil and gas, and shipbuilding industries.
SITAL Ltd. implements and maintains quality, environment and health and safety management systems, established and documented in accordance with the international standards EN ISO 9001:2008, EN ISO 14001:2004 and EN OHSAS 18001:2007.
In addition to these certificates, on 26 October 2012 we acquired a G and H Licence, i.e., “Authorization for group G buildings and construction on this group of buildings", issued by the Ministry of Environmental Protection, Physical Planning and Construction, as well as an “Authorization for group H.1 building structures for providing specific individual construction works (reinforced concrete, metal, wood and masonry structures, their repair and bolstering, as well as corrosion protection with substrate preparation)”, also issued by the Ministry of Environmental Protection, Physical Planning and Construction.
Construction within SITAL Ltd. is carried out in accordance with the applicable positive regulations of the Republic of Croatia at the highest level, with an increased concern for the protection and health of the workers, considering that they are working with chemicals. In the procurement of machinery and equipment, particular attention is paid to the relevant certificates for the high levels of safety of the workers who operate the machinery, as well as the least possible impact of our plant on the environment. All our employees who are engaged in carrying out anti-corrosion operations are trained and medically capable for performing such tasks, i.e., for operation in a safe and secure manner, and are adequately equipped physically for them in terms of insuring the required protective clothing and footwear. Health control of the workers is performed once a year in authorized Occupational Health Service offices.
On 9 November 2012, the Croatian Society for Quality awarded SITAL Ltd. with a Charter for the promotion and application of quality in the Croatian economy for small businesses.
The basis for the long-term development of SITAL Ltd. lies with the change in the direction of doing business with the manufacturing sector. Constant technological development and monitoring the developmental trends of the IT and manufacturing apparatus requires continuous updating of the former, as well as integrating new technological developments in the company.
Today, SITAL Ltd. is a recognizable name in the field of corrosion protection for steel structures in the Republic of Croatia. We see our future in the development and expansion of corrosion protection services to both our customers' locations (our clients) and within our plants, as well as in conquering the markets of the surrounding countries and beyond, with a steady increase in the number of employees.
